- In the event of a fire prioritise evacuation of the building. Escort any persons and animals to safety and, if necessary, also inform your neighbours. Never use the lift to leave the building.
- If you are no longer able to leave the building, go to a room which is not affected by the fire. Block any gaps around the door with blankets or towels and open the window. Try to draw attention to yourself from the window – by shouting, hanging a bed sheet out of the window, waving. If smoke penetrates the room, lie down on the floor until the fire service arrives and breathe – if possible – through a damp cloth.Call the fire service.
- Close windows and doors to prevent the fire from spreading.
- We are here to assist with the elimination of damage caused by fire by appointing specialist companies and coordinating the work they carry out. Please do not attempt to clean anything yourself.
